These are the thoughts that run through my head of late.

“Some one’s going to look at that white board and base their goals on your score today. Make them earn it!”

“That new guy you’re sharing the rack with is watching you lift right now. He’s trying to decide if he should make his lift look like yours. Take 20# off the bar and make it perfect. Don’t fight for the weight. Fight for the form.”

“The kids are waiting to see what you take for your Saturday afternoon snack. Grab some fruit.”

“Take the 70 pound kettle bell. You did 90 overhead swings the other day. You’re only swinging to eye level today and it’s 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest. There’s no excuse.”

I need to remember that someone is always watching. I make better decisions when I do.
